Tom Baloga came out of retirement in January 2016 to become a Senior Director and head of the Sacramento Government Affairs office for Audi of America. Prior to Audi, Tom had retired in December 2012 from BMW as concurrently: VP of Engineering US, President of BMW Technology Corporation, and VP Engineering Quality and Safety. During 35+ years in the auto industry Tom was also President of Britax Child Safety, Manager of Safety Engineering for Mercedes-Benz, and a Senior Test Engineer for Mack Trucks. He holds 8 US patents for child safety and received his engineering degree from Penn State University. Tom is the father of four and grandfather to 7.
