Cambridge Systematics
Transportation Analyst

Jonathan Overman is a Transportation Analyst with Cambridge Systematics (CS) with experience in multi-modal and performance-based planning.  Mr. Overman is the Deputy Project Manager on the California Statewide Social Equity Analysis Methodology and Tool. For this project, CS is developing a common social equity analysis methodology (SEAM) and an accompanying tool (SEAT). The SEAT will ultimately be usable by Caltrans, metropolitan planning organizations, and regional transportation planning agencies in California to conduct social equity analyses for their regional transportation plans. These products will provide a consistent planning framework, data, and analysis process that MPOs and RTPAs can utilize. Mr. Overman helped facilitate a stakeholder-driven process to develop standard performance measures, analysis methods, and data assumptions. CS is currently developing a web-based tool that will allow users to run various scenarios and calculate each performance indicator for social equity focus populations. Mr. Overman received his Master of Public Policy from UCLA.
