Coco Briseno

Coco Briseno is currently Deputy Director, Planning and Modal Programs at Caltrans Headquarters. Coco started her Caltrans career in 1990. During her time with Caltrans, she has worked in many capacities including most recently as the Division Chief, Research, Innovation and System Information. Prior to that, Coco served as the Caltrans Chief of Staff in the Director’s Office. In addition to working in different program areas within Caltrans, she has also worked with the California Transportation Commission and the city of West Sacramento. Coco has completed several leadership programs including the Caltrans Leadership and Executive Development Programs as well as the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO). She also serves on the Transportation Research Board and AASHTO committees covering a range of policy and research programs. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University.
